About The Role Summary Glacier Bancorp's (GBCI) Residential Underwriter III (RUW-III) position is responsible for all aspects of residential underwriting including timeliness, efficiency, and compliance to agency and investor guidelines, internal loan policy, and all applicable regulations. The RUW-III will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, and bank staff. The RUW-III will be in regular communication with the Corporate Residential Underwriting Manager and will suggest operational improvements as needed. This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location in Spokane, WA or Coeur d' Alene, ID. The mid-rate for this position is $81,081.86/ per year (calculated for Coeur d' Alene, ID). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Description * Review, examine, and underwrite mortgage loans for pre-approval, approval, rejection, and/or reconsideration to ensure: * Company, governmental, industry, and secondary market guidelines and standards are met at all times ensuring accuracy on all documents. * Creditworthiness of applicant(s). * Acceptability of secured properties in accordance with the bank's and investors' underwriting requirements and philosophies. * Overall loan documentation is examined to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with underwriting guidelines. * Final approval of the loan as well as issuing pre-approval as requested. * Underwrite conventional, USDA, FHA and VA loans. * Review appraisals. * Perform analysis to determine loan risk. * Determine loan eligibility and approve or deny loan applications. * Condition loan for additional information/documentation as needed. * Assist in training new underwriters and helping underwriters obtain DE and SAR status. * Assist in or lead special projects as needed. * Maintain consistent and thorough communication with all involved parties including internal and external customers and staff in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner. * Remain current on loan programs and lending (federal and state) regulations as well as all compliance and bank policies. All disclosure requirements are complete within Federal Time Limitations. * Maintain contact with government agencies and investors to determine changes in requirements and products. * Regularly participates in educational offerings from FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, MI companies, est. to keep current and aware of changes. * Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
