Parametrix Construction Inspector in Spokane, Washington

Parametrix, a 100-percent employee-owned premier engineering, planning, construction, and environmental sciences consulting firm. We are seeking a CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR to join our Greater Washington team. This position will provide construction related services for our clientele that include private industry, local municipalities, and state agencies. You will be based out of our Spokane office and will travel locally to construction sites. During the non-construction season, you may be assisting engineers or surveyors with design or field work. Who You Are: Experienced: 5+ years of inspection/observation experience and/or education with building and/or infrastructure projects. Ability to traverse varied surface conditions. Load/unload equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid Washington State Driver's License. Ability to upload project photos and inspector daily reports daily. Construction certifications preferred such as: WSDOT Construction Inspection Certification, Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) Training, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control (CESCL) Certification, or ACI. Knowledgeable: Familiar with industry standard construction practices/procedures, construction safety standards, quantity calculations, field documentation, compliance with contract documents, specifications, quality control/quality assurance procedures and permits. Ability to interpret material test results and compare against contract requirements. Detailed: Prepare solid field documentation and maintain detailed and accurate records of field inspection and construction activities. Collaborative: Excels in communication and works collaboratively with the materials and testing team, architect and/or engineers, contractor, Owner's Representative, and Owner to ensure all construction materials are delivered, installed, sampled, and tested according to contract requirements. Problem Solver: Experienced in identifying field issues and working with team through standard change order processes to resolve issues. Ability to work individually or in a team at a remote jobsite location with various field inspectors, resident engineers, architects, project managers, construction managers, subcontractors, and the contractor. Hourly rate for this position ranges from $30-$50. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review.
