Summary:\ Perform all building/maintenance functions of the company and its properties including but not limited to maintenance, repair, and renovation. Travel required using company and/or personal vehicle. Must have valid driver\'s license, clean driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance. Must pass background and driver record check.

Education and/or Experience:\ High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One-year experience in construction and/or building maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide cordial customer service to both internal customers (employees) and external customers (vendors).
  • Perform all maintenance and repairs of company\'s equipment, facilities and properties including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Assist in constructing fixtures (i.e. wood, metal) and other equipment for use in company operations.
  • Knowledge of machinery, plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical tools.
  • Knowledge in all types of remodeling, including woodworking, sheetrock, flooring, and electrical. Some experience in welding preferred.
  • Operate gas or arc welding equipment to join metal parts used to repair or fabricate equipment.
  • Attend mandatory management and training meetings and conducts department meetings monthly.
  • Attend mandatory training and department meetings.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and directives of Goodwill Industries assuring safety of personnel or property.
  • Work collaboratively with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide participant services.
  • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain agency confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal.
  • Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).
  • Other duties may be assigned.
