Job Title: Brake Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Brake Operator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machine controls, carrying out routine maintenance, and performing setups for press brakes.
This role requires the ability to verify the quality of produced parts using simple measurement tools and may involve operating a computer console.
Responsibilities
Load and unload tools based on the setup sheet.
Operate the machine control and perform maintenance during production.
Perform simple or routine setups where fixtures and tooling are provided by others.
Notify machine setup personnel if more complex tooling or machine adjustments are required.
Verify the quality of produced parts using simple measurement tools.
Essential Skills
Experience with press brakes and machine operation.
Experience with machine setup.
CNC experience with computer console.
Ability to form parts based on work instructions, sheet metal, metal fabrication, and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school level education or equivalent specialized training obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
Minimum of one (1) year of related experience or education.
Ability to operate press brake and machine control for simple routine setups.
Knowledge or current understanding of setup.
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Work Environment
Our facility is a sheet metal manufacturing shop that includes welders, powder coaters, brake operators, and quality inspectors.
The team is small, and the site is new, offering a great opportunity to join early and grow with us.
The Spokane facility exclusively manufactures parts for a major customer and is expected to grow to over 60+ employees.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.22/hr.
