Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Temp Bookkeeper to manage financial information in a manufacturing company here in Spokane, WA. This position will have main responsibilities that include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining general ledger and assisting with various financial analysis. You will also be responsible for providing support to the finance department and performing additional accounting duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.

  • Maintain sales invoices, purchase invoices, payments, and receipts.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and any other balance sheet accounts that have been assigned.

  • Prepare pertinent financial statements including the trial balance, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Aid in the preparation of budget forecasts and monitor them accordingly.

  • Analyze financial data to provide management with useful information for decision making.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

  • Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and accounting software (Such as QuickBooks).

  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

  • Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.

  • Solid data entry skills coupled with a knack for numbers.

  • Confidentiality, integrity, and honesty are crucial qualities for this role.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
