Starting salary for this position is: $40.83 - $86.87 per hour based on workload category.
This is an adjunct (part-time) position. Compensation will be pro-rated according to the amount of workload assigned. CCS reserves the right to cancel this recruitment without notice. Academic employees are represented by the Association of Higher Education (AHE), which is affiliated with NEA and WEA. Membership is optional.

About the Aviation Maintenance Instructor - Adjunct
Duties & Responsibilities
• Team teach with Aviation Maintenance instructors
• Responsible for preparing and teaching basic skills through contextualization in the Aviation Maintenance content areas; (writing, math, and college readiness skills).
• Plan with co-teacher classroom management, attendance policies, homework, and test policies.
• Provide syllabus for class.
• Follow up with students when absent.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Proctor CASAS and/or other required assessments.
• Complete required ABE paperwork.
Minimum Qualifications
• Current Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certificates.
• Reciprocating engine ignition systems experience, including 500-hour inspections on Slick and Bendix magnetos, and troubleshooting.
• Reciprocating engine fuel metering systems, including float carburetors and TCM fuel injection systems setup and troubleshooting.
• A combination of training and work experience or teaching in Aviation Maintenance, as evidenced through documented records of training programs completed, plus either:
• Three years of relevant work experience in the field of Aviation Maintenance, or
• Three years of relevant and recent teaching experience in Aviation Maintenance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
