Ameresco has a new opportunity for an Asset Performance Manager to join our Federal Operations & Maintenance Group. The engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure our energy efficiency and renewable energy projects are generating the energy and savings that we guarantee to our customers through Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) on projects throughout the Western United States.This position will report to Director - Operations & Maintenance - Federal West. Responsibilities: Gather site information including commodity meter data, BAS trend data, PV and BESS production data, and CHP plant performance data. Schedule and conduct site surveys of HVAC systems, boiler plants, chiller plants, PV arrays, battery energy storage and compressed air systems to verify equipment is performing as intended to achieve project energy savings. Evaluate data to verify energy savings are being achieved using spreadsheet-based energy calculations, and to a lesser extent building energy models such as eQuest. Provide reporting to utility customers for forecasting, billing, etc. Write quarterly and annual Measurement & Verification reports to summarize findings of surveys and analysis. Reports will clearly convey methodologies used to verify energy savings and any deficiencies that were found to result in reduced savings. Make recommendations to customers of operational changes that would result in additional energy savings. As required, coordinate assistance with Ameresco Operations & Maintenance staff and service contractors to address any identified deficiencies. Assist project development and operations teams in creating M&V protocols for new and existing projects. Cultivate and foster customer relationships. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: BSME or equivalent four-year technical engineering degree. Minimum 5 years' experience performing energy savings analysis for battery energy storage, photovoltaic, HVAC systems, boiler plants, chiller plants, or compressed air systems. Ability to review confidential US security information. Additional Qualifications: Advanced STEM degree, PMP and/ or Certified Energy Manager or Certified Demand Side Manager certifications preferred. Ability to evaluate and quantify energy savings/production in projects involving boiler plants, chiller plants, PV arrays, battery energy storage and compressed air systems. Strong capability in regard to evaluating system trend data to verify proper operation of energy saving control strategies. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills. Understanding of engineering fundamentals associated with the analysis of energy-savings measures. Knowledge of IPMVP and FEMP standards a plus. Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
