Job DescriptionThe Mobile Dispatch System Applications Specialist roles are responsible for support and/or administration of the Mobile Dispatch Systems which include digital mobile work management systems, GIS dispatch and field applications, and various other technologies. Responsible for primary support and/or administration of Service Suite Applications. Duties also include providing support and training to users, making necessary configuration changes and updates, testing all changes, building requirements, forms and rule sets, and creating and/or maintaining mobile user settings/schedules. This job family provides data and information input to management by collecting and analyzing data, developing reports, evaluating options, and making recommendations for the efficient operation of the company’s mobile dispatch system to ensure high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction as well as meeting company, commission, and service requirements.
Requirements
Level I:
Two plus (2+) years of utility or relevant experience.
Associates degree or two years relevant coursework Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, interpersonal and listening skills.
Effective and flexible verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated and team-oriented collaborative approach to working with others across departments and levels of the organization.
Requires knowledge and use of customized and off-the-shelf software applications and the ability to learn new software systems. Intermediate MS Excel skills, particularly with pivot tables and other data analysis tools required.
Understanding of the company’s business processes and mobile dispatch systems or prior experience with other organizations’ mobile dispatching systems preferred.
Level II includes the above requirements plus:
Four plus (4+) years of utility or equivalent experience with at least two of those years as Applications Specialist I.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field preferred.
Must possess an understanding of the company’s business processes and mobile dispatch systems such as Service Suite, AFM, and other GIS Applications.
Requires effective skills in report writing, coding, or query tools (ie: Cognos) and how to apply these tools.
Level III includes the above requirements plus:
Eight plus (8+) years experience as a Mobile Applications Specialist.
Requires subject matter expertise in the company’s business processes and mobile dispatch systems such as Service Suite, AFM, and other GIS Applications.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Level I: Hiring Range: $62,895 - $81,133, Full Range: $62,895 - $90,253Level II: Hiring Range: $71,741 - $92,905, Full Range: $71,741 - $103,486Level III: Hiring Range: $92,805 - $121,576, Full Range: $92,805 - $135,961
Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
