Description

Our company is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Temp to Hire Accounts Payable Clerk for a construction company in Spokane, Washington. In this position, you will be responsible for processing invoices, issuing payments, and performing reconciliations. You will also play a critical role in maintaining our company's financial records and managing our payable information.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices on a regular basis.

• Prepare and issue electronic transfers and payments.

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and accurately posted.

• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.

• Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures.

• Adhere to company procedures and policies.

• Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

• Perform other duties as required to support the accounting department.

  Requirements

• Prior bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounts payable role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting procedures.

• Proficiency in accounting software, knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.

• Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability and precision.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Strong numeracy and organizational skills.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
