We are in search of a dedicated and meticulous Accountant to join our team based in Spokane, Washington. This role is primarily focused on managing all month-end processes and assisting with various accounting duties. As a Accountant, you will handle tasks such as the preparation of journal entries, the maintenance of the general ledger, and the reconciliation of accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all month-end processes including accruals, work in progress reports, sales taxes, payroll taxes, and financial reporting.

• Assist with payroll functions and handle the oversight of certified payroll and contract reporting.

• Manage quarterly and annual tax reporting for multi-state payroll.

• Support monthly project progress billing and other accounting duties as needed.

• Conduct reconciliation of accounts and balance sheets.

• Handle all aspects of accounting including AR, AP, PR, GL, JE, FS.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting operations.

• Work in a team to manage multi-state sales tax and payroll tax.

• Ensure high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

SALARY RANGE: $30 - $40 per hour

  Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Extensive experience with account reconciliation

• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Proficiency in managing general ledger

• Experience with journal entries

• Ability to handle month end close

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Experience in a similar role at a senior level is preferred

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
