Well established Boat Trailer manufacturer in the Spokane Valley is looking for a Controller to lead their Accounting dept. This person will be responsible for general accounting & Cost accounting.

  • Assisting with the preparation and review of monthly statements including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.

  • Oversee account reconciliations such as bank and bank card statements.

  • Managing fixed asset database for corporate and coordinating with subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and compliance for fixed assets.

  • Assisting with corporate cash flow and cash management.

  • Assisting with a wide array of recurring projects including inventory, capital investment decisions, and plan benefit administration.

  • Assisting with implementation and maintenance an effective ERP system.

  • Implementing, documenting, and maintaining adequate and effective internal controls.

  • Implementing, documenting and maintaining adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting.

  • Calculating and issuing financial and operating metrics.

Credit Management

  • Managing credit processes, including reference checks, approval, problem solving and perform all credit functions.

  • Managing accounts receivables, AR month end processes, and prepare purchase money security packets.

  • Answering and researching Dealer and Distributor telephone calls in connection with Credit.

Cost Accounting

  • Analyzing raw material purchases, inventory and labor and coordinating changes to improve efficiencies.

  • Evaluating actual manufacturing costs, standard costs, and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

  • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

  • Perform quarterly cost rolls and periodic margin analysis

  • Classifying costs accurately, rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggesting policy changes to improve numbers.
