About this Role
Job Summary: Position is responsible for safe and efficient transport of drilling and related materials and equipment. Scope of work will consist of regional and long-haul assignments as directed by management. This includes one-way transport with return flight and round trip assignments. This position is intended to primarily support work activities on a project specific basis and employment should not be anticipated beyond project completion.
What You'll Do
Duties:
Perform inspections on equipment and load prior to transport and within transport as required.
There will be standard trucking involved in the tasks such as straight truck driving, loading/unloading heavy equipment on RGN trailers and tilt decks.
Coordinate loading operations to ensure properly loading on truck/trailer ensuring safe operation and compliance with applicable regulations.
Perform load and cargo securement, immobilizing or securing on vehicle using adequate strength, dunnage, shoring bars, tiedowns or other approved methods.
Operate vehicle in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain log books, primarily utilizing ELD and journey management and work in accordance with Hours of Service and Fatigue Management.
Maintain familiarity with weights and measurements of load, ensuring permitting and clearance are communicated, understood and procured prior to transport.
Primary duties and responsibilities include regional transport supporting assigned projects; long-haul driving may be assigned in mobilization and de-mobilization of project and as assigned by Project Manager.
Operate and perform routine preventative maintenance on all on-site equipment
Support site setup, housekeeping and maintenance.
Supports general shop activities when not performing driving assignments; including but not limited to: small engine maintenance and repair; inspection and testing of pumps and equipment; support hydraulic/fab/mechanic in performance of duties.
Other duties as required within the scope of employment.
Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 Hourly DOE
What You'll Bring
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License without restriction required.
Experience with Heavy Haul loads over 55,000lbs per piece is required.
Plus for experience with loads near 100,000lbs (Crux does not self-haul "super" loads).
Tank Endorsement within 30 days of employment required.
Must pass (with results acceptable to Crux) applicable background check.
Must have driving records within company standards.
Prior heavy haul experience preferred.
Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $35.00/Hr. - USD $45.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
