Providence RN - Home Health in Spokane Valley, Washington

Description

Provides quality care to patients in their homes under the direction of a physician. The Behavioral Health Nurse functions as a consultant in the nursing assessment of patients who are managed by other disciplines in the department and coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team. Position includes responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and care of patients of all ages including adults and geriatric. The treatment of patients is individualized and reflects an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment requirements. Nurse is responsible for monitoring medical, physical and psychiatric care needs of assigned patients in Home Health. Practice is within the scope defined by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act, based on the nursing process model and concept of community health nursing. Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing

  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License

  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider Identifier (NPI) number

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Three to Five (3-5) Years in Acute care or community behavioral health setting

  • Community behavioral health and geriatric experience

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses.
