The Loss Prevention Specialist will support the efforts of the Store Team, Risk and Loss Prevention Departments to ensure compliance with company Customer Service standards. This position is responsible for performing certain loss prevention duties designed to enhance the safety and security of North 40 customers and employees and to prevent loss due to procedural errors, internal and external theft.

  • Able to communicate clearly with managers and team members.

  • Capable of working independently to plan and execute priorities; excellent reliability and attendance, diligence and focus on producing results while on the clock

  • Monitor and review paperwork procedures and systems to prevent error-related shortages.

  • Conduct surveillance related to theft, criminal cases, and internal investigations utilizing CCTV equipment and onsite investigations. 

  • Collaborate with law enforcement to investigate and solve external theft or fraud cases and be able to testify in court concerning any case, criminal or civil.

  • Working with the IT department and install technician to maintain and manage the technical aspects of CCTV systems

  • Maintain necessary confidentiality of all items related to North 40 Outfitters, its activities and loss prevention related items.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all loss prevention activity and receipts.

  • Identify and report potential for loss to the Loss Prevention Manager.

  • Advise Store Managers and Loss Prevention on policy and procedure violations.

  • Recognize safety and security risks and remedy the situation and alert proper personnel.

  • Knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Suite

  • This job will require the ability to stand in one spot for prolonged periods.  Must be able to walk, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis and greater on an infrequent basis.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A LOSS PREVENTION SPECIALIST AT NORTH 40?

As a Loss Prevention Specialist you are responsible for conducting and promoting projects related to all Loss Prevention and Safety programs as assigned. Most important, maintain a constant presence and communication with store teams to ensure positive action is taken to achieve goals, investigate loss and reduce inventory shrinkage.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LOSS PREVENTION SPECIALIST

This full-time position is typically Mon-Fri from 7am-4pm with schedules that are subject to change.  Overtime, overnight, and extended travel is required.  Must be willing to travel by car and plane, as well as have the ability to respond to alarm calls during non-business hours.
