Job DescriptionIndustrial Services Hose Assembly Technician5220 East Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA 99212WA200 Distribution CenterPart-Time Shift(s):MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00 am-5:00 pm24 - 28 hours/weekOVERVIEW:Working as Part-Time Industrial Services Hose Assembly Technician, you will be involved with the overall success of the department by efficiently manufacturing a wide variety of hydraulic, industrial, and pneumatic hose assemblies. You will be using raw materials to create finished goods through a variety of ways such as cutting bulk hose to length and crimping end fittings take the raw materials and creating finished goods. You will also be working closely with our branches to assist them on a technical level to diagnose various needs of customers.RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:o Processing hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial hose work orderso Using calibrated equipment to cut, crimp and perform other operations to create finished productso Checking finished product lengths, nominal diameters, and other features to ensure it meets quality standardso Assisting branches and vendors on a technical level in order to meet customers needso Following all International Standardization Organization (ISO) quality procedureso Complying with safety regulationsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:o Excellent written and oral communication skillso Proficient computer skillso Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyo Mechanically inclinedo Highly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedo Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmento Work independently as well as in a team environmento Willingness to work a flexible scheduleo Willingness to travel for trainings and customer visitso Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworko Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbso Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:o Previous experience in Hose and Fitting or a related fieldo Knowledge of powered equipment, such as hydraulic and crimpingABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with approximately 3,200 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
