Washington Water Service Company Water Treatment Technician in South Hill, Washington

Washington Water Service Job Description: Under limited supervision, operates and maintains water treatment plant facilities and equipment. Monitors well site production and chemical distribution. This position is located in Puyallup, Washington. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operate and maintain chlorine pumps. Handle hazardous materials. Monitor and record chlorine residuals throughout the distribution systems. Monitor and record overall operation and security of well sites. Operate and maintain filtration systems. Operate motor vehicles (must produce 5 year driving abstract). Support the relationship between Washington Water Service and the general public. Perform duties after hours / on call when scheduled. Perform basic computer / smart phone functions. Operate fork lift. Performs work on-site in the assigned office location. Perform other duties as required or assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid WA state driver's license. Obtain Water Treatment Plant Operator in Training certification within 1 year of hire date. Obtain Water Distribution Specialist Within 1 year of hire date. Obtain flagger certification within 1 year of hire date. Obtain first aid certification within 1 year of hire date. Obtain fork lift certification within 1 year of hire date.
