As a project team member, the successful candidate's area of responsibility can include:Electrical assembly site plan, elevations, and detailsConduit and cable site plan, cross sections, schedules, and detailsElectrical grounding site plan view, cross sections and detailsDetailing of electrical equipment and interconnectionsSite layout and general notesGrading plans, sections and detailsDrainage plans, elevations and detailsTemp erosion and sediment control plan and detailsFencing plans and detailsFoundation and structural plans Foundation/concrete detailing and designStructuralsteel detailingThe ideal candidate would have either civil site layout design experience, electrical layout and assembly design experience, or both. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.Job ResponsibilitiesWorks on projects that are composed of interrelated elements within the CAD designer's area of focus, and require adaptation of standard practices.Prepares and directs others in preparation of technical CAD drawings and documents.Supports others during review of technical plans, designs, specifications, or standards.Identifies potential areas of design conflicts with assigned work, and initiate corrective action.Ensures compliance with standards, and design requirements.Maintains scheduling of CAD work assignments supporting project needs.Checks and reviews complex project work of others. Provides technical leadership, training, and mentorship to other personnel.Solves problems independently with ability to work around barriers.Coordinates the work of others who assist in specific assignments (including contractors/consultants).May function in a technical leadership role as part of a project team.Self-directs work assignments and communicates effectively with a variety of internal customers.Supports emergency responsework as requested including immediate and extended restoration efforts driven by weather and other system failures.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsTwo-year technical degree or equivalent technical certificate in design or pre-engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of relevant experience.Extensive knowledge of subject matter within assigned area of focus, and basic knowledge of related disciplines.Organization, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Expert with PC and design software, and other database applications.
