Because lives depend on you!The Human Factors Engineer will work hand in hand with Product Management, Research & Development, our UI design team, and both internal and external clinicians. In tight collaboration with the cross functional team, this role is responsible for developing and performing usability testing based on user workflows and user interface designs as well as generating appropriate documentation following all internal and regulatory requirements. This role will also contribute to the development of the products being tested. The Patient Monitoring product portfolio includes both hardware and software (SaMD) Class I and Class II medical devices ranging from patient monitors and central stations to clinical information systems, and all accessories required to connect to the patient. ResponsibilitiesConduct interviews or surveys of users or customers to collect information on topics such as requirements, needs, fatigue, ergonomics, or interfaces. Collaborate with external users and internal stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into product designs.Analyze use workflows, goals, tasks, and experiences to identify user needs. Prepare reports or presentations summarizing results or conclusions of human factors engineering, such as testing, investigation, or validation. Author user- interface requirements documents.Evaluate and provide guidance on prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.Plan and conduct formative and summative usability testing and design validation that is compliant with IEC 62366 and FDA guidelines.Work with cross functional teams to maintain usability risk analyses.Train cross functional members on usability concepts and processes in order to leverage the team and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.Represent the Human Factors function on core teams for next generation products.Work with consumers and designers to evaluate concepts and existing products for improvement opportunities.Uphold the Company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company's Code of Ethics and Conduct. MA/MS preferred. Minimum of 8+ years of experience is required in usability/human factors design specifically with User Centered Design Process and conceptualizing, defining and driving user-centered design projects from start to finish desired.Minimum of 3 years of experience designing user interfaces for medical products following IEC62366 desired.Demonstrated experience with the different formal methods to perform usability verification and validations.Have passion, creativity, and ability necessary to solve challenging user and technical problems.Superior ability to write accurate, clear, and concise protocols, reports, operating procedures, etc. in a timely manner.Experiencing conducting usability studies.Ability to analyze and synthesize large quantities of information into usable communications.Expe
