This is a Business Development Manager role for our MicroConnex precision flex circuit business. This is a key role in achieving CMT's aggressive growth strategy by developing new business along with growing and sustaining existing business. The Business Development Manager ensures CMT/MCX is professionally and responsibly represented in the industry, and that our organization meets the expected level of service, responsiveness, and quality requirements of our customers. The ideal candidate has industry experience in circuit board fabrication, interconnect technologies, or other micro-fabrication processes. In addition, they will be able to learn quickly basic fabrication processes, develop strong relationships, and lead technical teams aimed at solving customer needs that leverage the breadth of the unique MCX product portfolio, while generating a robust pipeline of sales opportunities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Generate, investigate, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities for CIT through appropriate proposition and ethical sales methods. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, and profit targets. * Build market position and increase market share by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities. * Achieve growth targets for revenue and profitability. * Develop strong relationships with all levels in the customer's organization. * Market CIT and its products and services to both existing key accounts and new business opportunities. * Identify market trends through research and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual customers and contributors and their accomplishments. Similarly, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of competition and competitive products and maintain analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses. * Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify tactics, opportunities, investments, and organize efforts with product and technical experts to respond effectively. * Work closely with the inside sales and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication of all relevant details on the accounts they manage and maintain the highest standards of customer service. * Coordinate technical support to internal and external customers. * Work with applications engineering and product management to capture customer and market requirements for new and existing products. * Collaborates with Product management on pricing and business development strategy * Experience utilizing CRM Systems (MS Dynamics, Sales Force or similar) to their advantage. * Produce reports following meetings and after actions with new and existing accounts. * Analyze sales history, forecasts and financial data to prepare reports, statements, and projections for reporting to CIT Management (Monthly & Annually). * Attend industry meetings, conferences, trade shows, online seminars, plus other events, and perform product demonstrations at these where and when appropriate. * Support additional account responsibilities to support CMT BU requirements as needed.
