Job Description
We are seeking a skilled painter with the expertise to paint any product or parts independently. The ideal candidate will be able to read work orders and instructions, follow all safe work practices, organize, plan, and prioritize work, inspect equipment, structures, or material, operate mechanized devices or equipment, and clean equipment or machinery. The painter will also be responsible for applying cleaning solvents, adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings, masking vehicle bodies in preparation for painting, distinguishing colors, operating mix or blending machines, using hand or power tools, and mixing paint, ingredients, or chemicals according to specifications. Additionally, the painter will provide training to Painter I’s and Paint Preppers where necessary.
Responsibilities
Read work orders and instructions.
Follow all safe work practices.
Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
Inspect equipment, structures, or material.
Operate mechanized devices or equipment.
Clean equipment or machinery.
Apply cleaning solvents, adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings.
Mask vehicle body in preparation for painting.
Distinguish colors.
Operate mix or blending machines; use hand or power tools.
Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals according to specifications.
Provide training to Painter I’s and Paint Preppers where necessary.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of auto paint experience
Experience with power tools, pneumatic wrenches, and grinders
Ability to work independently
Strong organization, communication, and phone skills
Exceptional sales, customer service, and time management skills
Ability to be extremely well organized, resourceful, and self-motivated
Ability to problem solve and make appropriate business decisions with little guidance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Working knowledge of welding process is helpful
Heavy-duty truck aptitude

Work Environment
This role is based in a mechanic/machine shop. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times without assistance, and involves bending, twisting, lifting, kneeling, crouching, stooping/crawling, standing, and walking a minimum of 50% of the time. The work environment may include cramped spaces or require awkward positioning for short periods. Some job duties will be performed outside, so the ability to withstand temperature extremes is necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Snohomish, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00
