Where: Bremerton, WA (Puget Sound Naval Shipyard)
Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Wage: $16.32 per hour

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Maintenance Laborer. This individual will be responsible for a variety of general maintenance tasks throughout the Naval Base Kitsap area.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Pressure washing on structures, sidewalks, streets, parking lots, etc.
Perform floor care work such as mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming.
Construction clean-up, to include cleaning up dust and debris during or after construction projects.
3 years’ experience in a general maintenance role is preferred; specialized vocational, technical or other formal training may be substituted.
Working knowledge of work areas at PSNS, including waterfront areas, is preferred.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. and push and pull 150 lbs.
Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, a good sense of balance and the ability to distinguish different color of wires.
All applicants will undergo a Physical Skills Test at the time of interview.
Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
Must be available to work all shifts including day, swing, night, or on-call.
