Responsibilities

Franciscan Surgical Associates at St. Michael is seeking a Full Time 1.0 FTE General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Silverdale Washington. We are a multi-disciplinary General Surgery practice located on the campus of St. Michael Medical Center, a new state of the art hospital with 262 beds.

Core components of this position include:

  • First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic and open (bariatrics, general surgery, and other) procedures

  • Inpatient hospital rounding and patient management

  • Consultations, discharges, managing order, patient history, and surgery prep

  • Schedule is Monday-Friday, with shared call responsibilities among a team of five surgeons and one Physician Assistant. Candidates should have a flexible schedule since some OR cases can start late.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Graduate from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

  • Candidate must have at least two years surgical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

  • Licensed in the state of Washington as a P.A or ARNP by the time of employment

  • Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay Range

$62.75-$88.70 /hour
