The Animal Medical Center of Seattle, WA is hiring a full- time pack room assistant to join our Surgery team!
Join Our Team as a Pack Room Assistant
Are you passionate about maintaining high standards in surgical care? We're looking for a dedicated Pack Room Technician to play a crucial role in our team. You'll be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible.
What You’ll Do:
Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Assemble and maintain surgical packs and trays.
Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
Ensure equipment is in top condition and arrange for repairs as needed.
Support nurses and doctors by delivering instruments to operating rooms and scrubbing in as a sterile assistant when necessary.
Keep the pack room organized and stocked.
What We’re Looking For:
A team player with strong organizational skills.
Someone who can stay calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Comfortable learning medical terminology and procedures.
Proficient in basic computer functions.
Education and experience:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED
Potential applicants should also have a minimum of two years of experience working in the veterinary field.
Computer literate with the ability to learn new veterinary based software applications
Schedule:
Mon-Thurs

Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience and skill level. $20 - 27/hr.
Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
