The Animal Medical Center of Seattle, WA is hiring a full- time pack room assistant to join our Surgery team!

Join Our Team as a Pack Room Assistant

Are you passionate about maintaining high standards in surgical care? We're looking for a dedicated Pack Room Technician to play a crucial role in our team. You'll be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible.

What You’ll Do:

  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.

  • Assemble and maintain surgical packs and trays.

  • Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.

  • Ensure equipment is in top condition and arrange for repairs as needed.

  • Support nurses and doctors by delivering instruments to operating rooms and scrubbing in as a sterile assistant when necessary.

  • Keep the pack room organized and stocked.

    What We’re Looking For:

  • A team player with strong organizational skills.

  • Someone who can stay calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Comfortable learning medical terminology and procedures.

  • Proficient in basic computer functions.

Education and experience:

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED

  • Potential applicants should also have a minimum of two years of experience working in the veterinary field.

  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new veterinary based software applications

    Schedule:

  • Mon-Thurs

    Compensation:

  • Compensation is based on experience and skill level. $20 - 27/hr.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
