Keeping Washington Clean and EvergreenThe Water Quality Program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Municipal Stormwater Permit Implementation Planner (Environmental Planner 3) position. Use your knowledge of stormwater management programs, your communication and planning skills, and your ability to work collaboratively and effectively with local governments as part of Ecology’s team doing critical water quality work in the Puget Sound region. Part of the Water Quality Program’s section in Ecology’s Northwest Region Office, this position is stationed from our newly remodeled offices located in Shoreline, WA. This position is eligible for a telework/in-office hybrid schedule. You will be part of the Section’s implementation of a Modern Work Environment and have the opportunity to telework, work from the office, and use office collaboration and meeting spaces as needed to accomplish individual and team objectives. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance to our Shoreline office and surrounding service area. Please Note: The salary posted above includes the additional 5% premium pay that this position will receive due to this position's station location in King County. The mission of the Water Quality Program is to protect and restore Washington's waters to sustain healthy watersheds and communities. Our work ensures that state waters support beneficial uses including recreational and business activities, supplies for clean drinking water, and the protection of fish, shellfish, wildlife, and public health.
