Little Creek Casino Resort Sous Chef in Shelton, Washington
Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking for your next challenge? We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team. As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food and labor cost management.
- Lead our culinary team in event planning, scheduling, food preparation, quality control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to maintain high standards of performance and foster a positive work atmosphere.
- Directly manage Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Kitchen Managers, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct training sessions, assign tasks, and resolve any issues that arise in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Requirements
- Formal culinary training/certification, associate degree in culinary arts, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Sous Chef role required
- Minimum of 3 years in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- Proven leadership experience in kitchen management, in both a la carte and banquet settings
- Must pass a background check upon hire
- Have or obtain a Class 12 Mixologist Permit
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card
