Baker's Assistant
Northwest Expressions is looking to hire team members that are reliable and excel in a fast paced, production environment. No previous experience is required as we will provide training. This is a full-time employment opportunity! (If interested, ask about our limited part-time openings). This position can be very rewarding, but it does take hard work and attention to detail.
Job description:
- Packaging product by hand (requires good manual dexterity) and machine packaging.
- Kitchen assistance (everything from recipe prep to dishes and cleaning).
- Assisting with product production (candy, cookies, popcorn, etc...).
- Learning how to work with premium chocolate (tempering, molding and enrobing).
Assisting with other needed tasks in the shop as required.
The position will require a Food Handlers Permit. (We will assist you with the online 45 minute course, and we will pay for the course).
Work schedule:
Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (with the opportunity to work Fridays and/or Saturdays depending on work load).
Salary:
Starting wage is $17.00 plus per hour, depending on work experience.
Benefits:
Employees earn at least one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Northwest Expressions provides 5 days of paid vacation after the first year.
