Description

Job Description: We're looking to hire a seasoned Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role requires a motivated individual who possesses excellent financial and analytical skills. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for managing budgets and all their elements, reviewing and analyzing revenues/expenses for any anomalies and trends, and preparing and processing purchase orders and check requests in the procurement module.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage company budgets meticulously, taking note of all components associated with them.

  • Review and analyze revenue and expenses for any irregularities and trends. This helps to provide a clear and concise financial overview of the company.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests in a timely manner, ensuring payments are scheduled and completed correctly.

  • Oversee financial reports, meticulously identifying and investigating any variances.

  • Professionally manage and maintain well-organized files of all documents.

  • Perform regular clerical tasks, such as typing memos and letters, making copies, faxing, and offering support or assistance to vendors with their inquiries.

  • Act as a liaison between the Finance and PCD/Planning staff to guarantee timely payment of invoices.

  • Maintain friendly and productive vendor relationships, managing communications and resolving any disputes or problems effectively.

  • Attend monthly meetings to discuss and update budget/expenditure.

  • Perform other necessary duties that may be assigned in line with achieving the department's objectives.

    Requirements

The successful candidate must provide consistent superior quality support services and products in a fluctuating and demanding work environment. The successful applicant will have experience in and be able to address each of these qualifications in his/her cover letter.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and desktop publishing programs

  • Ability to perform typing or computer input at an acceptable level of proficiency

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills
