Job Summary This position is responsible and accountable for providing high quality service by processing and closing mortgage loans according to Washington Federal policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines: with special attention paid to communication, compliance, loan quality and timing. The Mortgage Loan Processor will work with a team of processors to support branch loans in a division. This position focuses on all aspects of the loan processing & closing processes in a regionalized processing center. KEY FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates the ability to prioritize daily workflow to provide optimal service and support; Processes and closes loans to comply with laws, rules and regulations; Applies proper pricing and mitigates risk. Develops and maintains a working relationship with Branch Managers; Demonstrates good working knowledge of the loan processing requirements and guidelines; Reviews and understands current Loan Rate Sheet(s) and current program guidelines; Interprets loan documentation received in files, and makes quality judgments; Accurately inputs data into system and other applications as needed. Meets timelines of necessary disclosures and ensures compliance standards are met; On assignment of a loan package, ensures all is complete and information is correct; Participates in the efficiency, effectiveness and workflow of the team; Provides active leadership through pursuit of continuous improvement in job process, communication productivity, and skill development for self and department; Qualifications 2 years minimum experience in mortgage processing; Proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization; Must be organized, detailed oriented and have excellent communication skills. Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environment. Strong communication with Branch Managers throughout the entire loan process; disclosures, required client documentation, credit decision, document preparation, settlement and shipment of loan file to vault in a timely manner Ability to work independently.
