Jamestown Sklallam Tribe Patient Care Coordinator - Medical in Sequim, Washington

Jamestown Family Health Clinic (JFHC) is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent organizational and administrative skills who can work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. The PCC will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and collecting co-payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: You'll be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them in person and over the phone, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth experience.

  • Scheduling & Insurance: You'll handle scheduling appointments for multiple providers, ensuring accuracy and following proper protocols. This includes collecting and verifying insurance information.

  • Administrative Tasks: You'll assist patients with various tasks like filling out paperwork, scheduling transportation, and collecting co-payments.

  • Communication & Confidentiality: Excellent communication is key, both verbally and in writing, to effectively interact with patients, staff, and doctors. Maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: A high school diploma is mandatory, with an Associate's degree being a plus. Two years of customer service experience are required, with a preference for experience in a clinical setting.

  • Skills: You should possess strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, fast typing (over 40 wpm), and basic money handling are necessary. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for building rapport with patients and colleagues.
