Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe Patient Care Coordinator - Dental Clinic in Sequim, Washington

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for providing exceptional administrative and customer service support to patients at the Jamestown Family Dental Clinic. The PCC ensures a smooth and efficient patient experience by coordinating front office functions, assisting with scheduling, and addressing financial matters. This role is crucial in promoting oral health care and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Office Operations:
    • Greet patients and manage incoming phone calls.
    • Schedule appointments and send reminders.
    • Track no-shows and send dismissal letters.
    • Document all patient interactions accurately.
  • Scheduling:
    • Assist with daily scheduling to maintain a full schedule.
    • Triage emergency patients.
    • Oversee Dental Hygienist patient scheduling as needed.
  • Financial Management:
    • Provide patients with treatment plans and estimated fees.
    • Assist with daily posting of checks and reconciliation.
    • Address patient account inquiries.
    • Assist with audits and accounting adjustments as needed.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure patients receive scheduled preventive services and follow-through with treatment plans.
    • Provide exceptional customer service in a professional, compassionate, and culturally competent manner.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Participate in regularly scheduled dental clinic staff meetings.
    • Adhere to all JST policies and procedures, including safety standards and HIPAA guidelines.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn dental office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Must pass a criminal background investigation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Conflict resolution experience or training.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
