Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the ambulatory surgery center in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized healthcare standards, and legal aspects of current practice within the state and the center’s policies and procedures.

Demonstrate initiative, insight and functions under the direct supervision of the RN or provider in complex situations.
Preoperative patient calls
Post-operative patient calls
Scheduling and receiving patients
Patient Admission able to take and record vital signs ; recognizes when to report findings
Gathers and records patients information necessary to complete health history
Gathers medical records
Order supplies and maintains records
Prepare the patient for surgery
Documents legibly in patient record
2 - 3 years of MA experience in a medical environment.
Current BLS/AED is mandatory.
Demonstrate excellence in communication skills- demonstrated ability to convey ideas and information, verbally and in writing.
Exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently when necessary and perform as part of the larger team, in a fast paced environment.
