7 Cedars Resort Facilites Groundskeeper l in Sequim, Washington

{width="484" height="484"} Join our 7 Cedars team as a Facilities Groundskeeper I! If you enjoy working outdoors and maintaining beautiful landscapes, this might be the perfect job for you! As a Facilities Groundskeeper I, you will maintain grounds, trim, edge, cut lawn, and prune shrubs and trees. Spray fertilizer or insecticides and remove litter. Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. Clean out drainage ditches and culverts, and shovel snow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Cut lawns using hand mower or power mower.
  • Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls; prune shrubs and trees.
  • Spray lawn, shrubs, trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
  • Clean and sweep up litter and leaves.
  • Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
  • Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
  • Shovel snow from walks and driveways.
  • Move furniture and paint when necessary.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.

     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One (1) year gardening experience, either self-employed or with a nursery or private company preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
