SUMMARY: Responsible for receiving goods and services such as production supplies, equipment and maintenance materials; Overseeing the flow of materials to-and-from inventory locations, ensuring on-hand values reflect physical inventory, Serve as a customer service representative for the Maintenance Department and the plant, and function in a support/backup capacity for the Safety & Environmental Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This is a representative sample--not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks. Ensure supplies are on-hand to meet maintenance and plant needs. Ensure on-hand inventory is accurate and correlates with Movex. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and reconcile any differences. Complete cycle counts for all maintenance parts and supplies inventory. Track and communicate results/variances regularly with Management. Obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Review packing slips daily to verify quantity and quality of stock received against purchase orders. Ensure all received parts are correctly labeled and placed into designated inventory locations daily. Organize and relocate inventory as needed to maintain storerooms at a functional level and improve usability and overall accuracy. Maintain and scan all procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories into the computer. Assist in the management and daily activities required for the maintenance work order system; Input maintenance work orders into excel work list, Post assigned work orders on personnel lockers, update excel work list as work orders are completed, and scan all completed work orders into computer system. Prepare and maintain department, plant, and company required documents and records. Serve as a customer service representative for the Maintenance Department and the plant. Communicate relevant information internally and externally. Move supplies, equipment, packaging materials, etc. using a forklift. All other duties as directed by the Supervisor. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to twelve months position related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must complete a forklift safety training course. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to complete paperwork and do inventories, distance vision to drive and move through the plant, color vision to recognize color coded paperwork and other items, peripheral vision to drive and walk through the plant, depth perception to drive and stock inventory, and the ability to adjust focus to drive and ensure the safety of others.
