TREE TOP INC Line Mechanic - Selah Plant in Selah, Washington

SUMMARY: Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical controls, motor controls, robotics, PLC and conveyor systems. Maximize efficiency of equipment, assist plant operations by solving problems to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality, and reduce waste in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain equipment by using tools, techniques, knowledge, and ability in a timely manner. Improve processes. Satisfy customers. Understand basic electronic and electrical principles the ability to troubleshoot to determine problems and make repairs. The desire to Learn new procedures and methods. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years' position related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, statistical correspondence, communicate effectively and write simple correspondence and memos in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, other employees of Tree Top. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs. TECHNOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS: GMP-training and understanding of standards. HAZCOM/HAZCAT training. Computer - Basic Knowledge and use including email. Must learn and use CMMS and Operating Systems Programs as required. Learn CMMS program to do work orders and all PM's. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Maintain and Monitor Equipment, collect technical data, identify, and troubleshoot mechanical problems. Monitor changes and improvements to ensure proper operation. Make recommendation if it is necessary to shut down. Repair, rebuild, adjust, lubricate, inspect, document findings during preventative maintenance and clean equipment as required in a timely manner. Anticipate job needs, gather parts and tools to complete the job. Remove all tools and equipment when finished. Assist other mechanics. Communicate with mechanics, co-workers, and next shift personnel. Talk to technicians and co-workers regarding machine operating efficiencies. Train new team members as required. Follow safety procedures, maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area, maintain area of responsibility to meet GMP standards. Improve PM process, complete shift reports daily and complete assigned Work Orders in a timely manner. Recommend improvements to supervisor. Use CMMS Program daily as required. Observe Confined Space Entry Procedures, Hot Work Permit Procedures, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Follow LOTO (lock out/tag out) Procedures and Hazardous Material Policies.
