TREE TOP INC Food Quality Internship, Ross Plant in Selah, Washington
Are you seeking a paid Internship with a strong company where you will be mentored and gain invaluable experience? If yes, then Tree Top has an exciting opportunity for you at our Ross plant in Selah, WA. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or senior in a college/university pursuing a Chemistry, Food Science or similar degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This person should be available for full time work Monday-Friday, beginning as soon as possible. The incumbent should have a strong motivation to build their career in their field of study. This internship will provide resume building opportunities to support steps to full time employment with Tree Top or other opportunities identified by the student. This full-time, paid Internship will begin in March/April 2025. LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES Exposure to manufacturing facility, quality, production, maintenance, finance and food safety aspects of food manufacturing Gain a better understanding of regulatory, customer and 3rd party standards related to food safety and quality (HACCP, cGMP, SQF, Organic, etc.) Review daily and shift quality records to ensure compliance to food safety and quality standards Compile and analyze quality and food safety data to identify trends. Learn how specific trends can impact food manufacturing Exposure to root cause analysis associated with food manufacturing processes and customer complaint reduction Learn to apply analytical and technical skills to support quality management systems Evaluate, update and/or write standard operating procedures (SOPs) or work instructions for Quality Assurance lab Develop and maintain professional working relationships with other departments Fundamentals of Management - Supervision of employees, delegation, paperwork, and daily operations APPLICATION PROCESS As part of your application, please be sure to include: (1) A cover letter describing your education interests and/or career goals, (2) A copy of your resume, (3) and a copy of your transcript.
