Janicki Industries is in search of an Engineering Director's Aide who possesses excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor. The ideal candidate should be intelligent, dedicated, and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently. It is crucial for this individual to uphold the professional image of the executive office. They should be outgoing, articulate, and adept at multitasking with a positive attitude. The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and address issues proactively,  exercise good judgment, and be an effective communicator who can collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.  This position has the opportunity to grow into a Deputy Director, or beyond, for the right candidate.

This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The following essential functions of the position are:

  • With minimal guidance, the ideal candidate will assume responsibility for planning, organizing, and executing projects of varying sizes and complexities
  • Leading strategic planning processes ensuring the alignment of ideas between the Director or VP and other leaders
  • Ensure the Director or VP's involvement in key decision-making processes
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Director or VP, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and ensuring team members are prepared for said meetings
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, conferences, and special events, handling logistics and providing necessary materials and support
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of training rotations as well as supporting capacity assessments with the directors
  • Manage the Director or VP's communication and correspondence as needed
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, always maintaining confidentiality

  • Working with the human resources department to address potential staffing issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 4 years' industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills should be a "self-starter" who is inquisitive, intuitive, and multi-tasked oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise messages
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing projects to meet deadlines preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously utilizing efficient and effective time management skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in dealing with confidential information

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Salary range for this role is between $85,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts.
