Position Category: Customer Service Company/Location (search) : Country (Full Name): : United States Job DescriptionAmazon's Customer Service (CS) team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Consumer Operations Insights and Standards (COINS) team. As TPM in COINS you will own a wide range of global projects for WW CS Consumer and deliver improvements for CS operations. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders, utilizing your technical experience to scope, resource and deliver creative end-to end solutions. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. They will work well with global and cross-functional teams of senior leaders, business managers, operations managers, and software development engineers, have strong influencing skills and thrive in an in an entrepreneurial environment COINS is a new WW Consumer operations-focused support group with team members in NA, EU and AP working with a global scope. The four teams in COINS are: 1) Consumer Excellence and Standards (CES): The CES team will support the creation and automation of operational minimum standards across WW Consumer (new team). 2) Customer Insights Mapping (CIM): The CIM team will provide robust insight and assessment of the full customer journey, with targeted support of the outlier program (new team). 3) Business Critical Assignments (BCA): The BCA team will work on business critical situations by providing program management and a framework to solve the business problem in partnership with local experts (new team). 4) CS Performance Products (CPP): Building the centralized set of tools where operations can go to monitor and identify opportunities for improvement in team and individual performance. The TPM role is working as part of the CES team in COINS. Key responsibilities: * Technical ownership of multiple global competing cross-functional projects, delivering improvements in line with the program goals. * Scope and develop creative end-to-end solutions, write business requirement documents and drive implementation efforts with multiple technical teams. - Understand the business requirements and translate the requirements into technical/functional specifications for the engineers. - Dealing with ambiguity to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and drive delivery within set timelines and resource/cost allocation. * Work with cross functional groups across Amazon to resource and coordinate the technical development effort and business metrics; track/drive the project; manage the operational implementation process. * Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and make trade-offs; encourage risk-taking behaviour to maximize business benefit; identify interdependencies between concurrent IT projects to prevent downstream problems. * Gain consensus on technical decisions and ensure that appropriate software engineering practices are employed to deliver high quality results. * Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up. * Balance the business needs versus technical constraints, including resources. * Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis. * Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
