Washington State Department of Transportation WSF Crewing Data Analyst in Seattle, Washington
The Washington State Ferry (WSF) a Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Crewing Data Analyst to serve as an expert level professional, with expertise in data analytics and staffing models related to fleet operations. This position provides data analysis on crewing levels impacted by seasonal and permanent position bidding, crewing credentialing, and crewing availability. This position creates datasets through complex IT and legacy systems unique to engagement programs at WSF. Provides essential data analysis to recommend and maintain staffing levels that support marine operations including US Coast Guard requirements, workforce planning, demand planning, and forecasting for seasonal and longer-term staffing needs.
The position serves as the data expert on analytics and reporting using various systems across WSDOT and systems uniquely designed to support WSF staffing operations. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to increase data quality, maximize best use of systems, and create data sets for performance metrics. The position is responsible for research, data collection and report development for legislative reporting requirements under SHB 5550 and provides crewing data for departments to use in reports for internal stakeholders, elected officials, and the public.
