  • Opportunity to work with wide array of partners and stakeholders DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The UW Medicine Financial Reporting Team supports the entire UW Medicine Health System in accomplishing its goals through the provision of high quality financial and analytical reporting to enhance health system decision making, initiative design and execution.

The UW Medicine Financial Reporting Team is responsible for key functions such as both internal and external month-end, year-end and ad hoc financial reports across the entire health system and encompassing a wide array of financial and statistical data sources. In addition, this team serves the health system in ensuring the integrity of financial and statistical reporting by anchoring it to validated data sources with consistent, agreed-upon definitions for report development, testing, querying by the UW Medicine Finance stakeholders. In so doing, the UW Medicine Accounting and Financial Reporting Team can respond to the reporting needs of executive leadership and enterprise business units in timely, reliable, well-coordinated and holistic ways.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work across the Workday Finance, Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll modules, partnering with Finance Stakeholders and UW Academy counterparts, to directly develop and maintain Workday reports

  • Serve as the primary health system-wide analyst, developer and Workday reporting subject matter expert, representing and supporting the Finance Team's utilization of the Workday reporting platform.

  • Research, design, build, deliver and maintain reporting solutions in response to emerging Workday technologies, customer requests and ongoing operational changes.

  • Financial Reporting Process Improvement REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, finance or a related field

  • Four years’ experience in report/analytics development to include business requirements gathering and documentation

  • Experience building and maintaining complex reporting solutions at the enterprise level, including performance tuning reports and reporting solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to delve into a new data domain or subject area and quickly understand the fundamentals

  • Ability to produce and promote technical reports and analytic dashboards

  • Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, user liaison skills, and personal interaction abilities
