We're seeking a Web Development Engineer who will partner with a Program Manager and UX/creative team to reinvent the site and help accelerate Marketplace growth. In this role, your team will draw insight from both data and anecdotes to ensure prospective Sellers can easily find the information they need and become inspired to start selling on Amazon. You'll have wide latitude to create new features, functionality, and site flow; and successful invention will influence our global teams. In addition, the critical role the site plays in achieving our goals ensures this position will have excellent exposure to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have deep end-to-end web application knowledge and experience working with Content Management Systems. The ability to present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences that include senior leaders is also highly desired. Experience working with global business partners is also desirable, but not required. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional front end, web, or mobile software developing with HTML, CSS, JavaScript Framework, and general Web 2.0 techniques. Strong design skills around the user experience. Eye for design and attention to detail. Experience with responsive web design, media queries, resolution independent image display, and the ability to deliver outstanding functionality across devices and platforms. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or the equivalent).
