Acxiom LLC VP Technical Project Management in Seattle, Washington

A Vice President of Project Management Office (PMO) Leadership is a senior leadership role within Acxiom responsible for overseeing and managing the Project Management Office. This role involves significant responsibilities related to project management, strategic planning, and leadership of Acxiom’s associates, Acxiom’s clients and Acxiom’s business.

Position Summary: The VP PMO plays a critical role in ensuring that Acxiom’s internal and client projects are executed efficiently, effectively, and aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

*This role can be located almost anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Planning:

  • Standardization:

  • Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, templates, and processes.

  • Establish consistent project management practices across all business units or regions.

  • Promote the adoption of best practices to streamline project execution.

  • Drive the creation of a Corporate, Service Line and Functional Area RACI with leaders from across the business.

  • Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement tools and technologies to streamline project management and reporting.

  • Evaluate and select project management software, tools, and platforms to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

  • Implement workflow automation and reporting solutions to reduce manual effort.

  • Globalization:

  • Develop a global expansion strategy for project management operations.

  • Ensure compliance with international regulations and standards.

  • Establish cross-cultural collaboration and communication practices within the PMO.

  • Establish a Global Program Management Office within the Acxiom Operations Team that connects broadly across the enterprise.

  • Create PM COE to work across SL's so we are sharing and continually improving.

  • Implement a project management framework/methodology for use by all project managers in the enterprise.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing PMO team.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to project managers and other PMO staff.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the PMO.

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Prioritize and oversee the organization's project portfolio.

  • Ensure projects are aligned with strategic goals and deliver value.

  • Monitor and report on the status of projects and portfolios to senior leadership.

Resource Management:

  • Creation of Resource Management Organization (RMO) within the PMO to optimize resource allocation and capacity planning.

  • Implement standardized resource management processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms to ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with project priorities.

  • Allocate resources effectively to support project execution.

  • Manage resource conflicts and capacity planning.

Governance and Process Improvement:

  • Define and enforce project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.

  • Continuously improve project management processes and workflows.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

  • Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Create and maintain clear and effective communication templates for use with stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, and team members.

  • Report on project progress, performance, and issues.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Manage the PMO budget and financial resources.

  • Ensure that projects are delivered within budget and cost constraints.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., business, management, project management).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PfMP) may be preferred.

  • 15+ years experience in project management and leadership roles.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align project initiatives with organizational goals.

  • Experience in change management and process improvement.

  • Financial acumen and budget management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
