This group is called LiveEvents. I have provided information below on the teams and what they are looking for, but essentially they are scaling the world's largest streaming operation for both live and linear events.
For each position, the team is looking for someone who is going to be more than a button pusher and push to f ocus on achieving results, act proactively, and take full responsibility for the process.

The Live Playback team delivers consistent, elite customer experiences which \"just work\" for everyday consumers. We build reliable, high-performance live experiences and take ownership of the end-to-end live streaming experience from the live encoding core platform out through AIV\'s client applications. Key job functions
Execute multiple live streaming events concurrently; be the sole owner of many tier-1 live events for our customers, ensuring they have the highest quality experience.
Work with tenured engineers and other teams on high-severity, active support issues, prioritizing mitigation while investigating root-cause fixes
Understand high-level technical aspects of streaming video systems and services.s
Work on live video operations and maintenance, driving efficiency improvements through automation
Live event system and support reporting
Customer notification and workflow co-ordination with follow-up to maintain service level agreements
Creating and maintaining team-specific knowledge-base articles and operational and training documentation
Basic qualifications
3+ years overall development/technical support experience, ticket creation and escalation
1+ years streaming video delivery experience, and understanding of encoding and transcoding technologies including HLS, DASH, h.264, h.265 technologies and systems for OTT delivery
1+ years of technical operations experience, including support and incident management, operations monitoring, process improvements, and metrics reporting
Fundamental knowledge of AWS technologies, and networking concepts
Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues. You\'re a natural problem solver!
Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence and efficiency, and able to work nights and weekends. No overnight shifts required.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with on-site, live video production or master control facility
Experience in a technical customer support role
Experience in a technical QA role
Experience working in live sports
Experience with software development or scripting in standard languages like JavaScript/React/Typescript or Python.
The live streaming experience or experience is in a similar production environment.
Experience in Python and/or shell scripts
Knowledge of encoding hardware and software, i.e., ffmpeg, harmonic, and Elemental.

These are key critical to the role. They want someone who will come in and take ownership of the environment. Because they are not building a product but a platform and owning it from end to end within HD streaming. The manager is looking for people who see a problem, own the management, and fix that problem.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
