VCA Magnolia Animal Hospital is expanding their team and looking for a Veterinary Assistant !

VCA Magnolia Animal Hospital is conveniently located in the Magnolia neighborhood core, nicknamed “The Village”. The neighborhood is highly walkable, with several great lunch options close by!

Snapshot of the Role: Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Veterinary Assistant in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff

  • Safely restrain animals during treatment

  • Perform basic exams, administer vaccines and pull blood

  • Gain accurate patient history from their pet-parent

  • Keep accurate records and logs

  • Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients

  • Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked

  • Sterilize equipment

  • Observing patients for signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff

  • Plus so much more!

Compensation: $ 19.97 – 23 /hour.

Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, flexible scheduling. Typically, 4-day work week, from 8.5-10.5/hrs.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months experience as a Veterinary Assistant or currently enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant Program.
