Amazon Vendor Performance Manager, Infrastructure Performance Management in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The AWS Infrastructure Performance Management (IPM) team performs a business control and vendor management function for every colocation (colo) vendor with which AWS has infrastructure deployments. The team manages AWS’s colo vendor business review program, which is used to manage and drive improvements to vendors’ service performance and is one of AWS’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance (SOC) controls. In addition, IPMs facilitate and drive issue resolution between AWS internal customers and its colos, primarily associated with vendor performance, contractual service level violations, and infrastructure risk reduction. Through these activities, the function supports and empowers Operations, Security, and other key stakeholders to share expectations and work in close partnership to drive service improvement and resolve both contractual and relationship issues.

As a Vendor Performance Manager you will work with teams across AWS to manage commercial relationships with AWS’s colocation providers and drive service improvements across a large, global portfolio of infrastructure deployments. You will lead cross-organizational business reviews with our vendor partners, lead the development and implementation of infrastructure risk reduction and mitigation projects, and drive projects and initiatives that deliver better experiences for internal customers and our vendor partners, and scale how the team manages its responsibilities. In this role, you will also act as a subject matter expert on AWS’s commercial relationships with these vendors and on their overall service performance.

· Lead design and implementation of projects, initiatives, and process improvements that deliver better experiences for internal customers and our vendor partners, and scale how the team manages its responsibilities

· Act as a subject matter expert on AWS’s commercial relationship with infrastructure vendors and on these vendors’ overall service performance.
