Blue Origin LLC Vehicle Model-Based Systems Engineer - Lunar Permanence in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. Join a world-class team dedicated to human space exploration and play a pivotal role as a Model-Based Systems Engineer. You'll work with diverse engineers on the Blue Moon Lunar Lander system analyzing system architecture, defining requirements, identifying interfaces, and supporting design, integration, verification and validation. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for various spaceflight systems. Develop system architecture models using MBSE tools. Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such as CONOPs development, requirements analysis, interface definition, functional decomposition, verification, validation, and integration. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area. A breadth of understanding of several systems engineering methods such as concept development, requirement definition, design solution definition, implementation, integration, verification and validation, qualification, commissioning, or operations. Hands on proficiency in modeling systems using SysML. Experience architecting complex systems using modeling tools. Experience with Cameo (MagicDraw) or a similar tool. Experience developing models of system structure, behavior, internal interfaces, and external interfaces. Experience developing solutions to technical problems ranging in scope and complexity. Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: Successful candidates typically have2to 8years of relevant experience. Experience supporting a project through the product development lifecycle. M.S. in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, physics, systems, or related subject area. Experience with software tools such as JAMA, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill. A depth in one subject area (or several areas) used to design, develop, and evaluate sub-systems such as Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Command and Data Handling, Communications, Environmental Control and
