Job Summary As a UX Research Intern at JLLT, you will support the Principal UX Researcher and Product Design team across a range of activities, from ad-hoc hands-on research tasks to operational support, with ongoing mentoring and support from UX Researchers and Product Design team members. Responsibilities While no two days are the same, you may: Own or support the execution of studies to inform product decisions Communicate findings and recommendations through artifacts including journey maps, mocks, user profiles, personas, core user scenarios, and other visual deliverables Attend training sessions to learn about UX trends or JLLT products Meet and collaborate with researchers, designers, product or project managers, subject matter experts, and others Collect internal insights and identify process improvements or ways to help teams understand their users Optimize our tooling to empower research and design to generate accurate insights quickly Evaluate existing apps and experiences with heuristic evaluation or cognitive walkthroughs Program Details: Date: June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025 Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA Who you are Knowledge of research practices - You understand contemporary design research methodologies User-centered design - You understand user-centered design and are passionate about putting theory into practice Curiosity - You are interested in understanding our current and potential users by identifying their motivations, needs, expectations, and goals Writing - You can write in a concise and clear manner Communication - You can articulate problems and ideas to others Open-minded - You are willing to listen to the needs and views of different stakeholders and synthesize with your own unique perspective as a researcher Desired Skills and Experience Experience planning and performing user research including: Gathering context from stakeholders to understand research opportunities Choosing appropriate research methods which may include usability testing, heuristic evaluation, usage data, surveys, competitive analysis, field studies, interviews, and card sorting Scoping goals, timelines, and materials for projects Recruitment of participants or appropriate voices Conducting studies including facilitation and data collection Translate research findings into actionable insights with clear business impact in both written and presentation format Currently enrolled in, or graduated within the past year from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in HCI, Design, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Visual or Interaction Design, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field Interest in UX Re
