The UW MEDICINE PHARMACY DEPARTMENT has an outstanding opportunity for a PHARMACY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR. WORK SCHEDULE • Full-Time / 40 hours per week • Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS • Provide leadership, management, and coordination of comprehensive, UW Medicine-wide drug policy and clinical pharmacy services to support quality, safety, and service improvement • This position has delegated decision-making authority to allocate resources and establish policies, methods, procedures, and work rules for the drug policy and outcomes program

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Facilitate the development and maintenance of the operations of the UW Medicine P&T Committee, Medication Stewardship Team, and Cost and Outcomes resources for UW Medicine Pharmacy. • Provide vision and leadership in developing interdisciplinary care models that link quality of care with efficient use of resources. • Assure a data-driven, integrated approach to improving quality and efficiency of care while articulating the ideal pharmacy practice model for UW Medicine Pharmacy. • Seek ways to provide the highest standards of care, including knowledge and review of best practices and developing innovative approaches to care. • Assume other responsibilities in the management of the Pharmacy department as delegated by the Chief Pharmacy Officer for UW Medicine Pharmacy Services. • Work closely with other department directors and managers to coordinate interdepartmental activities and data systems. • Collaborate with the Chief Pharmacy Officer to achieve practice model transformational activities, including the allocation of resources. • Provide leadership of residency programs to include recruitment, on-boarding residents and new preceptors, adherence to accreditation standards, preceptor development, reaccreditation preparation, and preparation of CMS reports for the PGY1 program.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy. • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Washington. • 2 to 3 years of Pharmacy management experience in a multi-hospital health system with leadership and program management roles. • Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program, or comparable experience. • Demonstrated interest and accomplishments in institutional pharmacy leadership.
