The focus of US Government Sales Operations Coordinator is to optimize the effectiveness of the US Government Services team by providing support to the Director, US Government Services and the Business Development Teams across Expeditors network. The goal is to help support finding prime contract opportunities, coordinating with the proper stakeholders, and ensuring that all responses are detailed and persuasive to help win prime contract business with US government entities. In addition, they will assist with various business development activities that support US Government business development and pipeline growth. The US Government Sales Operations candidate must have a desire to become an expert in sales fundamentals and process, US Government RFP/RFI/RFQ writing and submissions, and drive sales results across the company. The role is designed to review US Federal and State, Local, and Education Department (SLED) procurement sites to screen for business opportunities that Expeditors is qualified to perform. Once an opportunity is approved, the US Government Sales Operations Lead will work with product, services, and geography to pull together and effective and professional proposal.
Using strong communication skills and deadline management, US Government Sales Operations Coordinator will effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity and scope, and have the ability to perform in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The right candidate must be a self-starter, and capable of operating independently to achieve results.
The role can be performed from any Expeditors location in the Continential United States.

Key Deliverables
These are the minimum results expected from Sales Operations:
Search US Federal Government Procurement Portals (e.g., SAM.gov) and State, Local, and Education (SLED) portals to find prime government contract opportunities for Expeditors to pursue.
Prioritize and organize opportunities. Review RFPs, gather information, structure proposals, write and edit, perform quality assurance, and manage deadlines of multiple opportunities.
Manage key business development activity reporting to the Director of US Government Services related to US Government Services
Manage the US Government Services sales pipeline in MS Dynamics.
Manage weekly/monthly sales meetings, as assigned by the Director, US Government Services.
Organize US Government sales events to drive existing and new customer engagement.
Ensure US Government Services marketing materials are updated and accessible to global businesses development teams.
Deliver qualified sales leads to the team to pursue.
Deliver and coordinate bid response information requested by the US Government Services Team or the Expeditors network.
Provide rates and pricing support as needed.
Attend training & development sessions.
Organize and deliver training sessions related to US Government Business development.
Update MS Dynamics CRM and ensure data integrity measurements are met.
Take on additional assignments, as required, in support of company needs.
To be the most effective in this position we are looking for the following skills and experience:
Previous experience (2+ years) finding, managing and submitting Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quote (RFQ) to US government entities.
College Degree in related business field preferred.
Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and analytics.
Must be proficient in MS Dynamics, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Knowledge of specific U.S. Government registrations and requirements, including DOD (preferred).
Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment.
Sense of urgency for goal achievement.
Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written. (Mandatory)
Current U.S./State driver’s license and U.S. Passport/U.S. citizenship required. (Mandatory)
The ability to work off-site for local events
