Amazon US and WW Finance partner for Amazon Pay, Amazon Pay Finance in Seattle, Washington
Description
The US and WW Finance partner will be a key member of the WW Amazon Pay Finance team expected to primarily cover the whole US business and additionally across other geos (US, EU, JP), supporting current and new activities through strong finance support to Global Amazon Pay businesses partners and teams (Go To Market, Sales, Account Management, Products and Marketing, etc …).
The right candidate will be self-motivated, have strong business judgment, considerable financial acumen and keen to work in an environment that offers opportunity to (re)implement and (re)think every process as per Amazon Day 1 DNA. This role requires the ability to interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, client account management, program management/GTM (Go To Market), integration and marketing. The candidate must be able to balance challenging priorities, meet tight deadlines and provide insights and recommendations backed by data driven analysis. This role will also work with other functional stakeholders such as accounting, legal, and compliance to manage risk and ensure processes result in compliance.
Given this new business launch we, Amazon Pay Finance team, are supporting the business teams in one of the biggest business model change happening within whole Amazon which by definition creates lot of great opportunities, reporting and analysis implementation and improvements, leader visibility and challenges to implement from scrap many processes, revamp business/financial modeling and think everyday truly as Day 1.
Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with business partners and teams to deliver insightful recommendations to achieve financial goals and drive success
• Support deal desk in US and contribute to the deals and negotiations approval process by providing profitability analysis and pricing guidance to teams
• Implement a strong controllership environment and improve controls over operational and financial metrics (P&L)
• Top to bottom P&L ownership, driving profitable volume growth and OPEX optimization
• Identify opportunities to improve, scale, or simplify finance tools and processes across teams and organizations by bringing automation for models and reporting
• Support and contribute to recurring activities such as Month End Close, xBRs and Planning cycles (5YP/OP1/OP2/Guidances)
• Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to create financial models to support the team in their business decisions: deal approving, business development, partnership negotiations
About the team
Amazon Pay Finance team is WW structured with team members being spread across the world (EU/US/JP). We support Amazon Pay business which is Amazon's externally-facing payment solution for merchants, facilitating payment transactions between Amazon customers and (external) merchants. Amazon Pay Finance sits within Amazon Payments (AP) which is responsible for building, maintaining and ensuring the security of the Payments platform used across all of Amazon’s Consumer organization (excluding India) and enabling it to be used more broadly across other parts of Amazon.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
Preferred Qualifications
MBA/CFA/CPA Preferred
Exceptional analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel with demonstrated ability to build financial models and create business cases
Solid experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
Detail oriented and a demonstrated strong sense of business management; ability to develop new ideas and ability to deliver solutions
Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment
Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills in working with peers and business leaders
Experience working with data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL and Cognos)
Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
