Job Description:

Job Title: Unreal Graphics Engineer Location: REMOTE - U.S. based Rate: $70-$80/hr Work Type: W2 Duration: 12-month contract, potential for extensions. As an Unreal Graphics Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating visually stunning and immersive game experiences. Your expertise in graphics programming and optimization will directly impact how players perceive and interact with the game world. Here are the key aspects of this role: Responsibilities:

  1. Graphics Feature Development:
    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and extend graphics features within Unreal Engine.
    • Implement cutting-edge rendering techniques, shaders, and post-processing effects.
    • Optimize rendering pipelines for performance across multiple platforms (PC, consoles, VR, etc.).
  2. Artistic Vision Realization:
    • Work closely with artists and designers to translate their creative vision into technical solutions.
    • Ensure that lighting, shadows, materials, and visual effects enhance the overall game experience.
  3. Scalability and Performance:
    • Provide strategic input on graphics scalability and performance across various platforms.
    • Profile and optimize rendering code to achieve smooth frame rates and high-quality visuals.
  4. Graphics Tools and Workflows:
    • Develop and maintain tools, workflows, and pipelines related to graphics content creation.
    • Collaborate with artists to improve their efficiency in creating assets and achieving desired visual fidelity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a game developer, with a strong focus on graphics programming.
  • Proficiency in C++ , Blueprints, and Unreal Engine
  • Solid understanding of 3D graphics principles, including lighting, shading, and rendering techniques.
  • Experience with shader development, both vertex and pixel shaders.
  • Familiarity with GPU profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of real-time graphics pipelines and their impact on performance.
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of visual fidelity in games.
  • Experience with shipping AAA or AA titles.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with VR/AR graphics development.
  • Familiarity with physically based rendering (PBR) and global illumination techniques.
  • Contributions to open-source graphics projects or research.
